The Sun and Moon in Libra are conjunct near the anaretic degree, which tends to add a nervous energy to the day. The Sun and Moon are forming an in-sign inconjunct aspect to Saturn in Pisces. This one counts, and the challenges that bubble up tend to be the type that determine how grounded we are in our beliefs. Mind you, it may not be spiritual beliefs, but can include those. Being "right or wrong" is likely to weigh heavy on our minds, at least for the day. Note that there is also an out of sign yod to Uranus retrograde in Gemini and Neptune retrograde in Aries. These, at the moment, won't have much impact since the Moon and Sun are not yet in the sign of Scorpio. Later, today, the Moon will ingress into Scorpio, and then, the Yod will challenge us to be more alert. Emotionally, we may rehash old psychological wounds that need our attention. On October 23, the Sun will move over this yod point, but it will no longer be viable as a yod, because Neptune will have already regressed back into Pisces. So, it is complex, but the Sun moving over this point is more of a point-in-time for the Moon's yod, rather than creating a new yod in succession.

The New Moon conjunction is moving out of a square to Jupiter in Cancer. Don't be so quick to judge, or assume that we know, or understand, a situation. Jupiter is likely to expand on events that blow them out of proportion. The New Moon conjunction is also square to Pluto in Aquarius. Not an in-sign square, so less significant, but Pluto's transformation continues to push on us in uncomfortable ways, regardless.

Mercury in Scorpio is conjunct with Mars, while the two of them are trine to Jupiter in Cancer. This should help us to think quickly. Not necessarily, accurately, but quickly. We will be expected to regroup just as quickly, based on a glance, or a glare, sent in our direction. How quickly we "read the room" may be our saving grace.

Jupiter in Cancer is also trine to Saturn retrograde in Pisces. While, normally, we might consider this aspect to be productive, the fact that Saturn is retrograde, more or less, unhinges many of the positives. As long as we are aware that the facts being presented to us are likely to be useless facts, we should be okay. In other words, don't make long term decisions on them. Consider them to be facts that are likely to change in the near future.

The sextiles and trines between Uranus retrograde in Gemini, Neptune retrograde in Aries, and Pluto in Aquarius will transition to out of sign aspects in the near future, minimizing a lot of the power that they have been throwing around the past few months. Neptune retrograde will move back into Pisces on October 22, continue to retrograde until December 10, before moving back into Aries the end of January, 2026. Uranus retrograde will move back into Taurus on November 8, with no direction shifts occurring until February, 2026. Thankfully, these sign shifts will reduce the power crush that has been forcing us to re-examine our life journeys. We shouldn't stop evaluating, but we won't feel as though it is dire, as we have been feeling the past few months. Also, thankfully, the transformative messages from the recent eclipses are melting, feeling less crucial, at least for the moment.

This new moon's influence may feel important on some levels, but at the same time, won't seem to give us the necessary tools to accomplish as much as will be expected. There are plenty of masculine receptive placements, but they are not balanced in a way that helps us to move forward. Most of the placements are in the element of Air, which simply won't sustain the momentum to follow through. Add in the fact that there are five placements in the Cardinal signs, indicating that we know what we want, but don't have the means to accomplish the objectives on our own. This new moon may be a great time to plan and strategize, rather than act.
