New Moon
in: Aries 27° April 17, 2026 @ 11:52 am GMT April 17, 2026 @ 04:52 am PDT -7
Sun is Aries, 27° 29'
Moon is Aries, 27° 29' A new moon in the last few degrees of any sign typically feels more relaxed in that we have been acclimated to the influence of the sign, itself, for almost a month. A kind of, "I've got this" type of vibe. With six planets in the sign of Aries, we are likely feeling super charged to accomplish new tasks. Let's not forget to finish the older tasks on the list before diving head first into the new ones. This new moon has plenty of conjunction aspects in Aries to add fuel to our fire. Mercury is in a stellium (conjunction) with Mars, Saturn and Neptune in Aries. Taking all these planetary influences into a singular sensation certainly won't be easy. We only have so much time in the day to co-opt the diversity of these planets into one or two unified options. The unification attempt will be taxing on our limited planning resources. Add in the fact that Pluto in Aquarius, the planet of the "underworld" is sextile to the four planet stellium. Pluto's basic nature is to change our perspectives and transform our lives, usually without our consent. Venus, at home in Taurus, is moving towards a conjunction with Uranus. The aspect will be more meaningful after April 20. Venus in Taurus stirs up excitement involving tangible associations, typically home and personal property, but can also highlight increase in funding from various resources. Taurus typically highlights the need for security and safety. Adding in the Uranus connection, we may come across some of these situations with suddenty or from unknown circumstances that may, or may not, have strings attached to receiving them. Uranus will exit Taurus finally on April 26 with no more retrograde returns for many years. Those individuals who have struggled while Uranus transited Taurus for the past eight years should start to feel relief in May. Jupiter in Cancer, all alone and with no aspects, is feeling less significant today, but could bring in some memories of childhood or family scenarios that we mull on throughout the day. All in all, we are likely feeling pushed to act on something. There are seven planets in the masculine receptives, indicating that we are no longer content to just wait for change. We want personal involvement in working through our transformations. That's a typical theme, especially during a new moon in Aries. Our biggest stumbling block today is with the Pluto being the only planet in the Element of Air. We are likely to struggle to come to terms with the direction Pluto is laying out for us. We want to comprehend the message, while Pluto considers clarity to be less significant in the current transition. Finding and working through the priorities that mean the most, will help us accept the outcomes of the day. Meditation for the April 17th New Moon
Laughter is the best medicine.
